Everybody knows you can't compare these 2 games just because their off-road racing games, ones' an all-out free 4 all race ( Motorstorm ) while the others' a pure rallye game w/ an array of different vehicle categories ( trucks, buggies, prod. rallye cars ). Graphics-wise, still have to see what Colin McRae looks like on an HDTV - but with Motorstorm, really it ai'nt totally next-gen graphics ( nearly but... not as good as { F1 }, which is., if you want to compare how the foreground/backgroun...

Impressive choice of in-car camera shots alone, has got to be a plus when playing this game. And the surrounding areas have a nice look to it, and with a cool aray of trucks, buggies and rallye cars this is going to be one of those games that's going to rank-up there at the top.
Now it's medicinal/scientific purposes that their going to use the PS3 ( to make-up the money they are loosing in gaming I suppose, which is now pretty obvious... ) but still good on Sony for helping out the science community.
If Sony would implement this now in Australia ( PAL ), that would be in the vicinity of AU$880.00 which is still quite expensive. If they could drop this further - ( AU$600-700 'only hoping...' ) and by that time more games would have been released and their prices slashed/discounted, then it would really take-off...

Here's a lesson in technology...No company, not Sony, Microsoft or any other can ever future-proof their products. They have limited lifespans, and will eventually develop what the market's needs and demands are of the times - so ( shadowmaker ) stop talking all this sales crap - your just making a fool of yourself. Just enjoy what ( console/s, gadgets and stuff... ) you'ved got and leave Sony to do it's job on how it wants to go on about their business.

Bring out any game, one from the past another just recently released and you might still get a totally different set of opinion particularly from Japan as it is from the West... All good to hear, plus gives us more variety to choose if we wanted to accept/try out their sort of games and them with ours.

The actual in-car camera game shot ( the rallye car ) is the money shot for me... this will be a classic!!! What a great line-up of buggies,utes/trucks and rallye cars and the look is awesome.

I was at the game store today and played a bit of Motorstorm, nice game but not great - and thought the graphics displayed on the plasma/or could be an lcd widescreen tv was'nt that mind blowing as some of you would say... which led me to believe that this Blu-ray thing is just all hype, to the average buyer you could'nt tell the difference between a HD-DVD or a Blu-ray ( probably it's storage capacity could only be it's advantage over HD-DVD, but then who cares ) also in a few months/years t...

The first Halo series - there are levels in it ( can't remember which one ) where every background looks the same...that was so disorientating, but still a very good game.
Gran Turismo on the PS1 got me started in buying a console, love the game to death, truly is the tops. PS1,2 and 3 control pads are not ergonomically designed. There are too many edges, main controls are too small and bunched-up together. Many players know this and it's not a matter of preferences ( accept it !! ), Sony in a way forgot how to properly build a good control pad for every console they have since the PS1 - still the same today ( only minor, and stupid revisions - rumble gone, and now could be back again ( download on some racing games ?!?!! )...at least w/ the XBox they'ved learnt...
